Equality and inclusion
LUSHIA’s equality, integration and inclusion policy.
Our commitment
Equality, integration and inclusion in everything we do.
Version 1.0 · October 2026
LUSHIA (Luxury Sustainable Hotels, A.C.) is committed to equal treatment and equal opportunities, and to promoting the integration and inclusion of all people in its programmes, activities, membership, internships and teams.
This policy is grounded in Article 1 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, the Federal Law to Prevent and Eliminate Discrimination and the General Law for Equality between Women and Men.
Principles
What we guarantee.
Non-discrimination
We do not discriminate on the grounds of ethnic or national origin, gender, age, disability, social or health condition, religion, opinions, sexual orientation, marital status or any other condition.
Gender equality
We promote the balanced participation of women and men in our programmes, in mentoring and in decision-making.
Intergenerational inclusion
We open opportunities to young people and to professionals over 55, and we value the experience of every age.
Local and Indigenous communities
We respect the culture, language and knowledge of communities, including the Maya peoples of the Peninsula, and seek their participation and benefit.
Accessibility
We design our website and activities to be accessible, and make reasonable adjustments when someone needs them.
Equal opportunities
We select for scholarships, internships and membership with clear, public criteria, and offer scholarships so that no one is left out for financial reasons.
How we apply it
From policy to practice.
- Equality and inclusion are part of the values assessment completed by every person or organization that collaborates with LUSHIA.
- We train our team, mentors and volunteers in equal treatment and inclusive language.
- We ask organizations hosting interns to guarantee equal treatment and a safe environment, in line with our safeguarding policy.
- We review this policy every year and publish any changes on this page.
