SDGs implementation in the Caribbean: framework and benefits for boutique hotels

Hector De Castro is the CEO of LUSH, the Luxury Sustainable Hotels & Wellness Int'l Association. He joined it in March 2021 from De Castro Group, where he served as the Chief Executive Officer since October 2018.

Hector has 20+ years international experience in the hospitality, sustainability and FF&E sectors. Prior assuming the leadership of De Castro Group, he hold senior management positions at sme's and FORTUNE500 such us HORWATH CROWE, EcoHotelProjects or ACS GROUP.

He has lived in Spain, England, Germany, Mexico, and long periods in Singapore where he has developed full projects and audits for hotel brands such as SHANGRI-LA, HYATT, MELIA, MARRIOTT, IHG, OASIS or LOPESAN.

Currently combines his activities with social and educational projects. Professor at Anahuac Cancun Tourism University. Currently taking his 𝗣𝗵𝗗.
